Ural unites nations!

The annual Regional festival “Ural unites nations” will take place on November 2 at the Dvorets Molodyozhi Culture Centre. The festival is dedicated to the Day of National Unity. The format of the festival provides for the presentation of bright national customs. Anyone can take part in master classes on traditional crafts of our region.

Entrance is free.


From 10 a.m. to 11.30 a.m.

Workshops “Crafts and handicrafts of Ural nations”.

Children will be taught to weave by machine and by hand, to paint wooden spoons, to create postcards. Some workshops will be held by pupils. There will be also expositions of handmade dolls in different national costumes.

At the same time a quiz “Peoples of Russia” will be held by Sverdlovsk transnational library workers. You can answer the questions about different nationalities cultures.

From 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Exposition of best works of contest winners “We are together!”

From 12 p.m. to 1.30 p.m.

Festival grand opening. Rewarding of Oblast contests winners. Artistic groups will sing some Russian national songs, dance Ossetian lezginka, Jewish and Vietnamese national dances.

Festival “Ural unites nations” takes place in frame of Federal programme for such purposes as youth upbringing and respect different nation cultures.

This festival has coincided with the Volunteer Day in Russia. Participants are more than 400 pupils from Ekaterinburg and Sverdlovsk region.

The event organizers are the Tourism and Local History Department of Dvorets Molodyozhi Culture Centre supported by Ministry of General Education and Vocational Training and House of the Urals Peoples.
