Vienna Music Film Festival will be held in Ekaterinburg for the ninth time in a row. It traditionally takes place at the Ural Federal University main square (19, Mira street) and this year will last from 26, July to 11, August. All the guests will be able to see and listen to the best operas and concerts from all over the world on a big screen for free. The Festival will be opened with a live concert of a string ensemble Oberton String Octet which is represented by 8 musicians from different countries, playing Antonio Vivaldi compositions. Amongst others, the program includes a concert by Nelly Furtado, the opera “Romeo and Juliette”, the ballet “Nutcracker”, Anna Netrebko, Yusif Eyvazov and other famous performers. This year the festival risked being cancelled because of the Football Cup but eventually the decision was made just to postpone it for a month.
