An old 19 century mansion gave home to the history of the Ural naïve art origin: 11 halls, 11 painters and 150 art objects.
Most of the objects belong to the Ural artists. Some of them are world-famous, for example pictures of Nina Varfolomeeva and Albert Korovkin are published in “the World Encyclopedia of naïve art”. At the same time, the Ural naïve art has no particular characteristics.
The museum of this concept is the second one in Russia after Moscow. Such countries as France, Switzerland, Israel and USA have naïve art museums too.
