A. POPOV RADIO MUSEUM

A. Popov  Radio Museum, a branch of the Sverdlovsk regional museum, was opened in 1986 and over the past years has become one of the most visited in the region. Its founders were Popovs grandniece M.V.Gulyaeva and head of the Sverdlovsk radio club, the oldest radio operator in our city F.P.Kislitsin. The museum is located in a house that once belonged to the priest G.I.Levitskomu, husband of the sister of the future inventor of radio. In this house the young Sasha Popov lived in 1871 - 1873 years, studying in Ekaterinburg religious school. Memorial Room, which presents original things of the XIX century, recreates the life of the time.
